Wickes Furniture Company, Inc., to Open Retail Showroom in McHenry, IL
Pig/corn roast, country music performances, Rascal Flatts ticket drawings highlight Grand Opening Aug. 25-26.
Wheeling, IL (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- Wickes Furniture Company, Inc., a Sun Capital Investment Company and one of the nation's largest furniture retailers, is opening a new retail showroom in McHenry, Illinois - its 17th in the Chicago area The 40,000-square-foot showroom, located at 3310 Shoppers Drive, is scheduled to open Aug. 15.
"We're proud of our newest Chicagoland location," said John Disa, Wickes Furniture president and CEO. "Our designers have traveled the world and put together today's most fashionable styles. Our goal is to make shopping at Wickes a truly enjoyable experience, and enable our customers to easily and affordably bring to life the homes of their dreams."
As a part of the grand opening celebration, Wickes has scheduled festivities Aug. 25 and 26, including:
- Performances from 12 to 3 p.m. Aug. 25 by award-winning country vocalist Kimberly Wolff, a McHenry resident and a former finalist for Fox-TV's "Fox Idol" and NBC-TV's "Gimme the Mike."
- Free pig and corn roast, plus family entertainment (clowns and magicians) from12 to 5 p.m. Aug. 25 and 26.
- Remote broadcast from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 25 by country music station US 99.5, featuring popular on-air personality Ramblin' Ray. Consumers can register to win tickets to the Oct. 12 Allstate Arena performance of country pop band Rascal Flatts by visiting the showroom during regular business hours beginning Aug. 15 through 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Drawings will take place every half hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 25, and entrants must be present to win.
- Personalities and promotions from radio stations WLIT, WLIV, WUSN, WZSR and WZZN throughout the day Aug. 25 and 26.
- Hourly giveaways for free furniture, gift cards and discounts 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 25 and noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 26.
The new McHenry state-of-the-art retail showroom will feature a natural brick exterior. Inside, brushed metal, wood trim, large glass facades, hundreds of accessories, and other embellishments will be arranged in casual, contemporary, traditional and country room group collections to showcase Wickes' stylish furniture. The fully accessorized room settings were specially selected to inspire shoppers to update existing rooms, or create entirely new looks for their homes - stylishly and affordably.
The McHenry location will also feature a mattress gallery with a wide selection of brand names, including Sealy, Simmons, Nature's Bed, and Tempur-Pedic.
Regular showroom hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
