Do More with iPod Touch When Using WAAV's AirBox

WAAV (www.WAAV.com) announces that the new iPod Touch will be compatible with the AirBox line of mobile cellular routers.

Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) September 7, 2007 -- WAAV (www.WAAV.com), the first provider of in-vehicle broadband Internet, has announced that the new iPod Touch will be compatible with the AirBox line of mobile cellular routers. With an AirBox, iPod Touch users will be able to browse the web and download iTunes music while in their moving car.

iPhone users have been using AirBoxes to access data features while in the middle of a call. Since the AirBox provides a Wi-Fi hotspot, iPhone users can use Google Maps to get directions while traveling, check the status of an important email, or exchange photos, all through Wi-Fi while speaking on a voice call. In addition, the AirBox runs at broadband speeds as compared to slower EDGE speeds.

On the way back, my fiancé was able to work on lessons to teach her fourth grade class.
The WAAV AirBox takes the family Internet connection and puts it into the family vehicle. Kids can battle their friends on Xbox Live and Nintendo DS. They can also use their laptop to check Facebook and IM friends.

Adults enjoy their in-car Internet as well. “I watched the entire Cubs game on MLB.com while on a trip to Virginia,” said David List, a youth counselor at Congregation Beth El in Sudbury, MA. “On the way back, my fiancé was able to work on lessons to teach her fourth grade class.”

Based in Cambridge, MA, WAAV has been the leader of innovative products for in-vehicle Internet. Formerly Omniwav Mobile, they introduced the first Wi-Fi hotspot for a vehicle in Jan. 2005. This year at CES, they released the world first multiple connection cellular router, the AirBox X2. The X2 allows many users at once, such as bus full of passengers, to surf the Internet at the same time.

AirBox cellular routers are available for sale now from WAAV.com and select dealers nationwide. The AirBox CM3 retails for $499 and the AirBox X2 retails for $1099. For more information, please visit WAAV.com or call 888-GET-WAAV.
