Apogee to Launch Performing Arts Awards, Training and Events Across South Asia

The Apogee Foundation, an international nonprofit dedicated to the development of human excellence in the art of performance, will offer performing arts programs across India and South Asia to identify, support, develop and promote the region's elite talents.

New York, London and Tokyo (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- The Apogee Foundation announced today that it will collaborate with national and international, public and private institutions to assist the development of elite performing arts talent across the nations of South Asia.

All three of Apogee's major program divisions will be included in its rollout for the region: Apogee Awards, Apogee Academy and Apogee Artists. These three divisions serve, respectively, to identify and support emerging artists, to assist them in achieving their full potential, and to showcase their talent around the world to fulfill Apogee's mission of "recreating the future of human creativity."

The Foundation will begin implementing these programs in diverse regions of South Asia in the course of the coming year. Programs are expected to be based primarily in India for the benefit of participants from all neighboring countries, with public and private partnerships already having been formed also in Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan as well as with institutions and agencies responsible for the large Tibetan communities resident throughout the region. Detailed information on each of these program areas can be found on Apogee's website: http://www.apogeefoundation.org/awards/index.php http://www.apogeefoundation.org/academy/index.php http://www.apogeefoundation.org/artists/index.php

Apogee President Kenneth Schneider said: "South Asia is among the culturally and spiritually richest regions on Earth, and has always been home to much of the world's oustanding creative talent. Everyone at Apogee feels privileged to participate in the continuation of this extraordinary flowering of human potential and the transcendent aesthetic traditions to which it has consistently produced."
