The young couple from Desoto, Kan. jumped at the opportunity to purchase a condo even before the building's renovations were complete. Participating in the design decisions for their space was one of the perks of buying early. Kristin and Matt visited the building every weekend while it was under construction, deciding everything from the wall color to the cabinet stain. But it was the downtown view that the two fell in love with.

At first, safety was a concern for the small town twosome, but the 24-hour concierge service eased those concerns.
"I was working as a bartender and often came home late; having the concierge at the Metropolitan always made me feel comfortable at night," said King.
