Park West Gallery Features Collection of Artist Csaba Markus

Park West Gallery Artist Biography series invites the public to experience a symphony for the eyes when Classical Mythology fuses with Renaissance Europe in the contemporary artwork of Csaba Markus.

Southfield, MI (PRWEB) October 8, 2007 -- Park West Gallery Artist Biography series invites the public to experience a symphony for the eyes when Classical Mythology fuses with Renaissance Europe in the contemporary artwork of Csaba Markus. In 1953, Markus was born in Budapest, Hungary where he spent the first half of his life enmeshed in Old World traditions. He eventually discovered the works of Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo, Caravaggio and Boticelli.

"My goal is to create the most beautiful painting every time I paint. My art begins with Greek and Roman art, and moves on to the Renaissance. It has some details from crazy Art Deco and surrealism. And it's always very playful, I am always making little secrets to hide in my pictures. We create art because humanity needs art. Our spirit needs art like a vitamin pill. If we have art, we are happier, more alert and have more vitality," says Markus.

On a quest for artistic expression, Markus left behind the restrictive Communist system of his native country and traveled to Europe, eventually settling in California. These new environments and cultures greatly inspired him and allowed him to flourish as an artist endlessly seeking new ideas and innovations.

One of the most widely collected artists in the world; Markus' works currently span the globe on display in prestigious art galleries in countries including the United States, England, France, Russia and Japan.

Markus says his goal is to, "... bring passion and beauty into people's homes as my work speaks of love, purity and strength of spirit." This is achieved through his interpretation of the "Eternal Feminine" in her many guises, both as mortal woman and mythological goddess. His artisanship is evident from the many layers of colors, textures, and intricate details finely tuned in their application to every work of art he creates.

"Sometimes I would rather capture those little moments that have a richness, that are very refined, quiet and mellow but also have a magical and peaceful energy. This is what brings contentment to the viewer, because they can also find this peacefulness for themselves through my painting."
