Meet the Press and MySpace team up for 2007 Federal Election

Network Ten's Sunday morning program hosted by Paul Bongiorno, 'Meet the Press' has moved online during the 2007 Federal Election, allowing its viewers to directly interact with its Political guests. Hosted on the popular online community MySpace, the site "Meet the People" invites viewers of the political news program and users of MySpace to upload video of themselves asking a question directly to politicians appearing on Meet the Press.

(PRWEB) October 15, 2007 -- Network Ten's Sunday morning program hosted by Paul Bongiorno, 'Meet the Press' has moved online during the 2007 Federal Election, allowing its viewers to directly interact with its Political guests. Hosted on the popular online community MySpace, the site "Meet the People" invites viewers of the political news program and users of MySpace to upload video of themselves asking a question directly to politicians appearing on Meet the Press.

The Australian public can now ask the burning questions, direct to politicians
Politics and news have gone online with the internet now one of the most trusted mediums for up to the minute coverage of the 2007 Federal Election. In response to this and voters desperate to have their voices heard by the battling political parties, Meet the Press have opened up an online forum for any MySpace user to ask the hard hitting questions. Traditionally the Australian public have relied on journalists to question politicians agenda for the upcoming election. Participants can directly have their burning question answered on live television every Sunday morning. The 'Meet the People' segment will only run leading up to the November 24th Federal Election date, so users will need to get in fast if they want their voice heard.

This Week on Meet the People segment- Joel Fitzgibbon
In this week's segment, users and viewers are able to ask the Federal Shadow Minister for Defence what his stance is on the current War on Iraq and where the Australian Labor Party stands if they win the 2007 Election on the Taliban in Afghanistan. No question is viewed too tough by the 'Meet the People' segment, allowing selected users to have their questions directly answered by the guest political figure. Talk to other politically minded online users
The Australian public can now have their say on the Meet the People MySpace site. They can also submit their own questions for each week's guests, and express their opinion online with other MySpace users.
