Dualalign will Unveil Novel Virtual Tour Technology at National Association of Realtors Convention in Las Vegas

Virtual Tour Technology developed by DualAlign LLC for U.S. intelligence agencies is breaking ground in photographic imaging by allowing anyone to easily create super high definition virtual tours (panoramic or gigapixel) with any camera. No tripod, special equipment or photographer needed.

Clifton Park, NY (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- The development of novel image intelligence technology by DualAlign LLC is promising to become the foundation for future innovations in photographic imaging. The New York based computer vision and imaging Technology Company will be unveiling i2Align, groundbreaking virtual tour software that enables Realtors to easily create high definition, information rich virtual tours which can be used to showcase properties or locations like a house, hotel, resort, or city.

"DualAlign's technology picks up where a service like Google Earth leaves off, while Google Earth captures the unfamiliar view of rooftops; i2Align works with the more familiar ground level view you might see from a window or sidewalk," states Remy Arteaga, DualAlign's CEO. According to Mr. Arteaga, the difference between GIS software from Google or Microsoft and DualAlign's technology is that "while GIS software works with satellite imagery, i2Align works with images captured from any digital camera."

The technology, which has been used by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), enables the user to create super high definition (giga pixel or panoramic) virtual tours with any camera. Once created the virtual tours can then have information overlaid, delivering information rich imagery akin to the type of information rich imagery delivered by Google maps. According to Mr. Arteaga, what makes DualAlign's technology special is that "it is capable of automatically determining if a group of images belong together, even if the images were taken by different cameras, at different times and with little overlap. It is this robustness that allows i2Align to be used by both novices and pros alike, as the user does not need a tripod or any special equipment to create high definition, information rich tours."

i2Align can also be used to showcase products such as cars, boats, and tractors on the Internet. Currently users who wish to display their products on eBay must rely on antiquated formats that only allow a user to display a product at screen resolutions, forcing the seller to upload dozens of photos of the same product in order to give the potential buyer a feel for the product. With i2Align sellers can take dozens of images of their product and i2Align will generate one high definition file, which the seller can then merge with information to give the buyer an unprecedented feel for the product.
