How to Get a Divorce Without Hurting the Kids

The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet explores how divorce affects children. Christina Rowe, author of Seven Secrets to a Successful Divorce, reveals her own heartache over how her divorce has impacted her own children.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) October 29, 2007 -- It seems like you cannot turn on your TV today without hearing about the nasty divorce and custody battles of celebrities like Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger and Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards. But what affect will these court battles have on their children? With millions of children caught between battling parents in the U.S, does anybody know what kind of damage this will cause to the children?

Recently,The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet set out to answer these questions. The show featured Christina Rowe, author of Seven Secrets to a Successful Divorce and her four children. Christina was embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with her ex-husband for almost two years and like many divorced parents, they continue to have co-parenting issues. The divorce has negatively affected her children.

Christina says "I was completely unprepared during my divorce; I never imagined my divorce could turn so ugly. Unfortunately my kids were caught in the middle and it has had a negative impact on them. I wanted to share my experience with other people so that they could learn from what my family has gone through and not make the same mistakes."

Christina's divorce was so bitter, that two of her children have chosen not to speak to their father anymore. Her children explain on the show how they were confused and did not understand why their parents were getting a divorce, how they felt torn between their parents and how the divorce left them feeling angry and sad.

Because of her difficult divorce and the effect it had on her kids, Christina Rowe was inspired to write a book about how women can protect themselves and their children during divorce because she says "I vowed to share the knowledge I learned from my experience to help other women avoid the pitfalls of divorce" She has been on a quest to educate and teach women the survival skills they must know to have a successful divorce outcome.

Christina made the decision to appear on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet with her children because she realizes that there are countless parents right now who are divorcing and may not understand the profound negative consequences a vicious divorce battle can have on their children. She hopes that by sharing her own personal story, parents who are currently in a middle of a difficult divorce may stop and think twice about how their anger and bitterness toward each other will affect their children.
