Solana Evacuated During Wildfire But Keeps Shooting

Solana Productions, Inc., was forced to evacuate during last week's deadly wildfires, but continued shooting for TV outlets and clients by moving operations to a seaside hotel room.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- Solana Productions, Inc. (www.solanaproductions.com), was forced to evacuate during last week's deadly wildfires, but continued shooting for TV outlets and clients by moving operations to a seaside hotel room.

Despite a mandatory evacuation order, the Solana Beach-based videotape production company fulfilled all of its previously arranged bookings, and provided on-the-spot fire coverage for the American Red Cross "Entertainment Tonight," Travelers and other insurance companies among other clients.

Solana crews also handled a star interview for "The Rachael Ray Show" and a multi-camera production for Countrywide Mortgage during the four-day evacuation.

On Monday, Oct. 22, as Santa Ana winds whipped several wildfires across San Diego County, Solana staffers quickly moved camera, sound, lighting equipment and production vehicles to a nearby hotel. Operating out of two rooms, the television production company worked round-the-clock shooting and editing for clients on a variety of formats, including Beta SP, HD and 24P. Much of the footage was edited into b-roll packages and uploaded immediately to client websites.

Solana crews recorded footage and interviews with evacuees at Qualcomm Stadium and at a Red Cross shelter in the Mira Mesa section of San Diego. A Solana crew also shot at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, where 2,500 hundred large animals and livestock were housed during the evacuation.

Solana Productions, Inc. (www.solanaproductions.com) produces award-winning videos for Broadcast, Cable, Corporate and Internet clients.
