Country Remedy is Universal

Screen Media Ventures has acquired the worldwide rights to Country Remedy at the American Film Market. The film will be released domestically by Universal through SMV's agreement.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- Screen Media Ventures has secured worldwide rights to the multi-award winning, critic praised feature film "Country Remedy" and will be introducing the project at the American Film Market commencing November 1, 2007 in Santa Monica, California.

Screen Media Films will be releasing "Country Remedy" in the United States through Universal.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the heart warming family drama hosts an all-star cast including Cameron Bancroft (FOX's "24", "Love and Human Remains"), Bellamy Young (ABC's "Dirty, Sexy Money", "Mission Impossible III"), Aidan Mitchell, (FX's "The Riches"), Joshua Leonard ("Blair Witch Project"), Amber Benson ("Buffy: The Vampire Slayer"), Mickey Jones ("Sling Blade", "Home Improvement"), Melissa Fitzgerald ("The West Wing"),Channing Nichols, ("Gilmore Girls"), Zac Gardener ("Akeelah and the Bee") and Edie McClurg ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off").

"Country Remedy", produced by Back 40 Films in Association with Musk Entertainment was directed by Andrew C. Erin, produced by Tosca Musk and executive produced by David Huff and Dr. Olson Huff.
