Press Box Legends to Issue Limited Edition Shea and Yankee Stadium Commemorative Publications Signed by Mets Hall of Famer Tom Seaver and Yankee Great Don Mattingly

To mark the final year of baseball being played at historic Shea and Yankee Stadiums, PressBox Legends will create an unprecedented offer of two limited edition publications featuring the autographs of NY Mets Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver and NY Yankee great Don Mattingly.

Baltimore, Md. (PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- To mark the final year of baseball being played at historic Shea and Yankee stadiums, Press Box Legends, a division of Word Smith Media Ventures LLC has joined with Ironclad Authentics and MAB Celebrity Services to create an unprecedented offer of two limited edition publications featuring the autographs of New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher, Tom Seaver and New York Yankees icon, Don Mattingly.

PressBox Legends and its partners will offer 3,000 limited edition copies of a Shea Stadium commemorative signed by Mr. Seaver and 3,000 limited edition copies of a Yankee Stadium commemorative signed by Mr. Mattingly.

Tom Seaver and Don Mattingly are extremely discretionary in how and where they utilize their autographs. They are thrilled to add their signatures to these publications that will commemorate these historic venues and their many legendary moments.
While the publications are scheduled to be released to the general public in June, 2008, fans, collectors and stadium buffs can pre-order their exclusive, limited edition autographed copy of either or both editions of the 72 page magazines by visiting www.pressboxlegends.com.

Both of these once-in-a-lifetime commemoratives will celebrate the proud tradition, historic events and cherished memories of two of baseball's and the country's most storied ballparks.

Each of the exclusive, limited edition publications will be brimming with breathtaking action photos, vivid recollections and eyewitness stories by some of New York's most prominent writers and personalities.

Howe Burch, a partner in Perryburch Sports and Entertainment Marketing and spokesman for Press Box Legends, expressed confidence that these publications will quickly become a cherished collector's item.

"This is a unique and very limited opportunity to own a special piece of New York sports history featuring the signatures of two of its most celebrated heroes. Once these signed copies have been liquidated, additional copies will not be produced."

For collectors and fans alike, the Seaver and Mattingly signatures will be authenticated by Ironclad Authentics, a national memorabilia company recognized as one of the nation's leading athlete signature authenticators.

According to Ironclad Authentics General Manager Ray Schulte, "Ironclad is very honored to be selected to authenticate the Press Box Legends commemorative publications. The Legends concept has already created excitement in the collecting community and adding Tom Seaver and Don Mattingly to the collection will only solidify the success of the program."

The Shea and Yankee Stadium editions follow on the heels of previously issued commemorative publications from PressBox Legends celebrating the careers and 2007 Hall of Fame inductions of Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tony Gwynn. Most recently, PressBox Legends released a commemorative issue for first-ballot Hall of Famer, Brooks Robinson.

While the publications celebrating the history of Shea and Yankee Stadiums are timely, the additions of the Seaver and Mattingly signatures are especially noteworthy, according to Mollie Ann Bracigliano, CEO of MAB Celebrity Services.

"Tom Seaver and Don Mattingly are extremely discretionary in how and where they utilize their autographs. They are thrilled to add their signatures to these publications that will commemorate these historic venues and their many legendary moments."

The limited edition, signed commemoratives will be sold by PressBox Legends direct to consumers for a retail price of $97.00. Purchases will be limited to five copies per customer. Standard edition, unsigned editions will be available in limited quantities and at select retailers for $22.95.
