Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- Photographer and actress Jacqueline Ann Finch, relative of the prolific jazz composer and vibraphonist Victor Feldman, shares her journey to Egypt in her exhibition of photographic images inspired by the mysterious and beguiling secrets that only Egypt can reveal. In an unique and arresting juxtaposition of ancient and modern Egypt co-existing side by side, first time exhibitor Jacqueline Finch takes us on a unique journey of personnel images furnished by the mysterious and ancient Egyptian landscape and its people.

Amongst the images are moments on the lush, expansive, ever shifting Nile, sleeping dogs, napping in a pool of shade, watched over by the powerful statues of the Karnack Temple. A striking, beautiful pre-adolescent beggar girl, the weight of the world in her old soul, sits on the steps outside the Luxor temple. The great defending Sphinx of the Giza Pyramids peers out at us from its protective position behind the chiseled ancient rocks. For everyone who has some sleeping or waking connection to Egypt, this exhibition will whisper its secrets to you.

"I have always had a deep connection to Egypt as I feel many of us do, and I was blessed to be able to go there last year," Jacqueline shared with a group of art collectors. "What I saw and experienced from the sublime to the most dramatic images had such an impact on my senses I was inspired and compelled to put together my first exhibition of photographs because I felt Egypt wanted and so deserved to be seen. Not just for the glories of it's extraordinary temples and artifacts but for it's stunning beauty and the arresting juxtaposition of the ancient and the modern living and breathing so effortlessly side by side."

Jacqueline Ann Finch was born in England and went to Brighton School of Art prior to her classical training as an actress for the London Stage. She went on to also expand her writing talents and starred in an acclaimed production of her own play "Tights," both in London and Europe, which she wrote and directed. Her multi talents also blend into her music as a singer, composer and musician. Jacqueline has a CD of unique, world/ambient music, which can be heard on Sounds of the Season channel, on 24 digital Radio stations across the U.S. and on broadband Internet on Chilling Out.

The photographs in "Egypt Unveiled" are the artist's personal invocations and homage to the arresting beauty of Egypt. She felt that Egypt wants to be seen and she hopes to have served that purpose in some small tangible way.

The Johnson Art Collection gallery, "Where Cultures Meet", is known for the international and magnificent art it has exhibited, including the works of: Fidel Garcia and Nguyen Gia Tri.
