Wish-Sprites of Yore Spark to Life in the Lowlands
Is it the quirky illustrations or the warm-hearted story, or simply the current fascination with all things sparkly and mystical? Whatever it is, the tiniest of Natures sprites, the Naiads, have gripped the imagination in the Benelux, and it seems they are about to flit abroad.
Leiden, the Netherlands (PRWEB) November 6, 2007 -- Saga-Whyte Press has released a new series of Children's Legends that are about to go Global in record time for a small childrens book from the Lowlands. 'Why The Naiads Dance' is book one of a sparkling new series, called The Naiad Legends.
The sagas and legends of yore are sparkling with renewed vitality in a way that has gripped the imagination of children in the Netherlands and Belgium and it seems the cheeky little wish-sprites are set to glitter and glimmer their way into the hearts of children and their story readers across the continental drift.
'Why The Naiads Dance', is the first book of the series. The Naiads find out who they are in the scheme of things when a fiesty red sprite named Scarlett stops to ask 'why?' something a Naiad should never do, and this leads to an adventure that takes her and little sister Rosy on a journey to the Source - the place of ice and fire.
Not officially launched yet, the series already has the book shops and reviewers lining up for their copies.
'A beautiful book that brings us back to the source of our culture and of our imagination.'
- Vanessa von Marienburg, Das Buch
'It is a long time since I've seen such a delightful and special children's book. Vitality sparkles from every page. My kids and I can't wait for the next book.'
- Camilla Johnson, Reader's Unlimited
