VetFriends.com encourages people to support veterans in a new way - do business with them.
Founded by a U.S. veteran in support of U.S. veterans.
In 2000, the idea of an easy-to-use, online veteran registry came to its founder, Marine Corps veteran of Desert Storm, Dale F. Sutcliffe, during a conversation with his father-in-law who had served during the Korean War. When asked whether he would attend a hypothetical reunion with his old Army unit, his father-in-law responded, "I'd be on the next plane to Korea to see those guys." Reflecting on the depth of this reply, Sutcliffe realized those special bonds often withstand the test of time precisely because of the unique and often difficult circumstances under which they were formed. Now, those bonds can be reestablished through modern technology.
This Veterans Day and all year long, VetFriends.com supports and thanks veterans, active and reserve military for their service to our country and will continue to be a valuable tool bringing people together sharing memories, laughs and tradition.
Founded in 2000 by Marine Corps veteran of Desert Storm, Dale F. Sutcliffe, thousands of people have been reconnected through VetFriends.com, spanning from World War II through to Operation Desert Storm and the present. VetFriends.com has a current member count of over 820,000 people with 150,000 visitors per month to the site. Please visit www.vetfriends.com for more information.
