THE FILM AND MUSIC COMPANY Successfully Launches Amidst Current Writer's Strike in Hollywood

Hollywood's "New 007" launched as scheduled on 11-11-07 at 11:07a.m. at I Cugini in Santa Monica, CA.
We went live around-the-world and I didn't have to leave the table

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2007 -- The Film and Music Company (www.thefmco.com) successfully launched as scheduled on 11-11-07 at 11:07a.m. PST at I Cugini restaurant in Santa Monica, CA. "What better than the breathtaking view of the Pacific Coast Ocean, and live jazz music playing on tap, to welcome The Film and Music Company," said Craig Caryl, President.

It was a quintessential Southern California morning alfresco on the patio as guests delighted themselves with a celebrated champagne brunch fare. "Great food, great people and a great new company -- what more could anyone ask for?" added Mr. Caryl. The Film and Music Company (FMC) went live from atop a white linen-draped table at I Cugini via a remote laptop computer. "We went live around-the-world and I didn't have to leave the table," said Michael Thelin, Producer at The Film and Music Company. Among the select guests was Dr. Marion (www.drmarion.com) whose company, Elder Health Resources of America, is an FMC client. Dr. Marion's recent national bus tour on raising awareness about aging and elder care issues in America is being co-produced by FMC as a documentary. "I boarded The Film and Music Company bus, so to speak, before it officially launched because I recognized they had what it takes to make it happen -- creativity and a team of experienced, dedicated professionals. And, I was right in my decision," said Dr. Marion.

The Film and Music Company is parent company to their in-house stock footage and music library division, Spot Stock (www.spotstock.com), which is scheduled to launch at NATPE 2008 Conference & Exhibition (www.natpe.org) at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 28, 2008 through January 31, 2008. "We are working hard to meet the demands of our clients in the film, television and advertising business communities, worldwide, and remain committed to providing leading-edge tools and resources to best serve them today, tomorrow and indefinitely," said Mr. Caryl.

When asked how he felt about launching an entertainment-industry based business in Los Angeles during such a tenuous time due to the current writer's strike Mr. Caryl stated, "...while we are certainly experiencing a wave of excitable tension at the moment because of the writer's strike, Hollywood has always proven itself a community which pulls together when the going gets tough, and nothing is tougher on Hollywood than a strike, especially a writer's strike. We'll make it through this and come out the other side a stronger, wiser and more closely-knit community than ever before."

The Film and Music Company, through its stock footage and music library division at Spot Stock, is leading the way by affording writers, composers and other artists a new and exciting distribution channel to market and promote their work while allowing them to effectively manage and control their copyrighted material. "Our company was founded based on the premise -- 'by artists for artists,' and we share in the responsibility of ensuring that the grass on both sides of the fence are equally green," added Mr. Caryl. And, green is exactly where The Film and Music Company's Spot Stock is headed with their "The Straw That Broke The Planet's Back" recycle, reuse and reinvent environmental program to be officially announced at NATPE 2008 Conference & Exhibition.
