Cookbookpeople.Com Announces Release Of New Home Cookbook Publishing Software
New Family Cookbook Software Emphasizes Control, Flexibility and Low Cost
Boise, ID (PRWEB) November 27, 2007 -- The Cookbook People, LLC, have released a new recipe book software product that allows users to print family cookbooks directly on their home printer. Matilda's Fantastic Cookbook Software ($29.95) is different in that it focuses on printing cookbooks at a lower price and with far greater flexibility and control than virtually any other option available.
"You can go to recipe websites and have them print cookbooks for you," says owner Erin Miller, "but you can't print out a cookbook yourself. They charge you $50 or more for a family cookbook, and they typically require a minimum of 20 books. With Matilda's Fantastic Cookbook Software, you manage the typing and printing all from your own desk. It only costs you paper and toner. Plus, you can print as few or as many cookbooks as you want, whenever you want. That's pretty important for procrastinators who want a family cookbook for Christmas."
Control is another advantage the software offers over traditional recipe websites. "You type in Grandma's Secret Banana Bread recipe, and it could wind up on that website's home page. With Matilda, all your recipes are stored on your computer," says Miller. "We won't ever see your family recipes, nor should we. After all, your cookbook is your personal family treasure."
"But it's more than that," she continues. "What if the website you were using goes out of business? Or it crashes? Or they charge you to access it? You've just typed in 200 family recipes. You are stuck. But with our software, you have complete control of your family recipes, without hassles or risk or added charges, for as long as you want."
The flexibility extends to the cookbook designs. Matilda's Fantastic Cookbook Software currently includes 27 different templates, any of which can be chosen from a simple list. All are available in full page format, and many are available in half page format. "I'm really proud of our variety. Your cookbook can have a religious design, an Irish feel, a more stylized, modern design, or lots of others. It can have your own color photographs or artwork, etchings, clip art or it can be very simple." This flexibility has already helped make it the #1 Cooking & Health Software on Amazon.
The software also looks beyond just compiling recipes. It prints out front and back covers and organizes a recipe table of contents. Users can also use the software to include a birthday calendar, address book and family tree in their cookbook if they so choose. "Many people start off thinking they just want to document 20 or so recipes, and they wind up making a 100 page recipe book, family tree, photo album, phone directory and yearbook. But it's great for the 20-recipe person too."
The Cookbook People is located in Boise, Idaho. The website, CookbookPeople.com, sells software and family cookbook supplies, and offers free cookbook advice in its blog, Matilda's Cookbook Kitchen. For more information or to read Matilda's Cookbook Kitchen blog, please visit CookbookPeople.com.
