eMail Our Military Teams Up with Horsepower and Heels to Support Our Troops This Holiday Season
eMail Our Military (eMOM) collaborates with Horsepower and Heels' Erica Ortiz to send support to our troops this holiday season.
Miami Lakes, FL (PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- When Horsepower and Heels' Erica Ortiz, one of the drivers in an all female drag racing team, learned about eMail Our Military (eMOM) she was only too happy to find a way to contribute to the project.
eMail Our Military is an organization providing morale support to service members by sending eMail, correspondence and care packages. With the holidays coming up their goal is more important than ever.
In the past care packages have included music, movies and sweet treats to supply the troops with some appreciation from home. Erica's 8x10 autographed photos are the latest contribution from Horsepower and Heels to be included in the Holiday Love care packages eMOM's putting together.
Erica was attracted to racing early in her life, working her way through the ranks of the drag racing circuit to be the first female driver in the Pro Modified arena. Her motivation to help was partly inspired by her father, a retired Air Force officer.
"I grew up listening to all these great stories about what being in the military meant to him and how important our military is in protecting our country. Having great pride in our country and all our military does for us was something that he instilled in me. Now, I am able to show my support and appreciation to all the women and men serving our country through eMail Our Military," Erica said.
For more information on Erica and the Horsepower and Heels racing team you can visit her website at http://www.horsepowerandheels.com/. If you would like to find out more about supporting the troops visit eMailOurMilitary.com.
eMail Our Military (eMOM) was created as a response to the DoD's cancellation of the "Any Service Member" and "Operation Dear Abby" mail programs in 2001, with the mission to provide encouragement, motivation and morale support to the men and women serving in our military by sending eMail, correspondence and care packages. Website visitors can join, participation is free, and take part in a number of support projects ranging from sending eMail on a one-on-one basis with a service member to year round support projects.
