Moms Say 'Stop Talking Trash to Our Girls,' and New Company Takes Off

Moms tiring of degraded messages on girls' clothing have a message of their own for the big retailers: "Stop talking trash to our girls." New company listens and new line takes off.
It's all about your mother

Cranbury, NJ (PRWEB) November 27, 2007 -- The Tiny Little T-Shirt Co.TM, a new lifestyle t-shirt company based in New Jersey, was born on a shopping trip. Take three daughters and one mom (with dad's wallet) and put them in any store in any mall in the U.S. Surrounded by shirts emblazoned with messages like, "look but don't touch," "future hottie," and "spoiled rotten," this mom said enough! What exactly are we doing to our girls? Time for a change.

Time to create a t-shirt line worthy of the girls (and moms) who wear them. Enter the Tiny Little T-Shirt Co. The company believes it owes its early success to moms ready for a new direction.

"The response to the line has been overwhelming," says Jennifer Laurash, managing partner and mom of three girls. "Our girls are growing up in an age where the major retailers are telling them it's OK if you're seven and want to look like today's badly behaved Hollywood "It" girl, and it's OK to have "booty-licious" screaming across your butt. But there are enough moms out there who believe that that's not OK. We agree. We need another option. If we can be a tiny part in bringing about that change, we will have accomplished what we set out to do."

The company's uplifting Life. t-shirt lines have hit East Coast boutiques and beach stores this fall. With a launch of a new website (http://www.tinylittletshirtco.com), the company hopes to reach moms and girls across the country to spread the empowering (but always lighthearted) messages. Here, peace tees with messages like, "Be the change." and "Get up. Stand up." are all the rage. Into being green? So are they. Through its "Live Green" line, which features tees with messages like, "It's all about your mother" and "Keep it Cool", the company donates a portion of its sale to help promote global warming awareness.

In addition to its inspirational lines, Tiny Little T-Shirt Co. also carries sports, just for fun, and beach lines ---the latter inspiring the company's clean look. They keep it all uplifting, but always with a dash of humor. The company will be unveiling more fresh designs in January 2008.
