Tennis Channel and Versus Cover Quest for First U.S. Davis Cup Championship Since 1995 Beginning on November 30 in Portland

Tennis Channel and VERSUS will provide complete coverage of the 2007 Davis Cup final November 30 through December 1, as the United States hosts defending-champion Russia on hard courts in Portland, Ore. The networks will offer same-day and nightly telecasts Friday through Sunday, during a match-up that marks the first time the United States has hosted the Davis Cup final in 15 years. The U.S., which holds the overall Davis Cup record with 31 championships, is trying to re-capture the title for the first time since 1995 when they defeated Russia at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow. Russia is seventh on the all-time champions list with two titles. This year's final will also be the first time the championships have been played on U.S. soil since 1992, when the United States beat Switzerland at the Tarrant County Centre in Fort Worth, Texas.
