Prairie Hills Motorsport Club signs Paxton Waters and Derek Daly to design the longest road racing track in the Western Hemisphere. On November 30th, Prairie Hills Motorsport Club announced the engagement of a team of top professionals to design their track scheduled for a spring 2009 opening. Paxton Waters' extensive experience in motorsports will bring track configuration design to a new level. As a road racing champion and analyst for ESPN, NBC, CBS, Fox, and the SPEED Channel, Derek Daly believes in putting personality into track design. Prairie Hills Motorsport Club will be located off I-65 west of Exit 220 between Indianapolis and Chicago.
In addition to the work done by Wilson Motorsport, both Paxton and Derek bring very different but synergistic perspectives to the project of what a world-class road racing course can be. Both Indiana-based companies provide a combination of skills that will create a real challenge for our members and guests.

Hinsdale, IL (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- On November 30th, Prairie Hills Motorsport Club announced the engagement of a team of top professionals to design their track scheduled for a spring 2009 opening. Paxton Waters, noted autosports architect, and Derek Daly, professional race car driver and television commentator, will apply their combined expertise to make a one-of-kind racing venue that is the most unique experience in motorsports. At the announcement, Prairie Hills CEO Michael Krupka stated, "In addition to the work done by Wilson Motorsport, both Paxton and Derek bring very different but synergistic perspectives to the project of what a world-class road racing course can be. Both Indiana-based companies provide a combination of skills that will create a real challenge for our members and guests."

Paxton Waters' extensive experience in motorsports will bring track configuration design to a new level. Paxton Waters Architecture, P.C., has specialized in the motorsports business for the past seven years. Projects include Lead Designer and Project Manager responsibilities for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, California Speedway, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, to name a few. Currently, Mr. Waters is working with Daly on a 3.5 mile road course at Riverside Motorsports Park in California. He is also in the process of designing a Penske Racing test track facility in North Carolina, a combined oval/road course/dragstrip facility in Chile, and the Bluegrass Motorsports Club's course in Kentucky. Waters most recently completed the Iowa Speedway, considered by racing enthusiasts as one of the best examples of oval and road tracks in the country.

As a road racing champion and analyst for ESPN, NBC, CBS, Fox, and the SPEED Channel, Derek Daly believes in putting personality into track design. As a two time-Sebring 12 Hour winner, Formula One, and Indy Car driver, Mr. Daly's experience will benefit drivers and fans alike. His personal design objectives are to build-in the excitement and character of the many classic tracks he has raced throughout the United States and Europe. With 17 years in the driver's seat, 64 World Championship starts, 66 CART races, and 6 Indy 500 races to his credit, Daly knows his way around a race track. Most recently, Daly has teamed up with Paxton Waters on the design of the new Riverside Motorsports Park in California. Derek also runs the Derek Daly Academy racing school, a consulting company called MotorVation, and is the voice of the Andretti Racing video game.

Prairie Hills Motorsport Club will be located off I-65 west of Exit 220 between Indianapolis and Chicago. Primary members of the club will be professionals who are active in motorsports and who have a great passion for driving or racing cars at a safe and exclusive facility. The club will provide fine and casual dining, vehicle storage, a clubhouse, spa, gym, game room for children and retail shopping for members and guests. Trackside lots will be available for corporate facilities, race team garages and private residences. Memberships are now available at a pre-construction initiation fee for those who sign up early. More membership information can be found at www.prairiehillsmc.com or by contacting a Prairie Hills representative at 219-394-2600 or sales @ prairiehillsmc.com.
