Great Dane Wanted: Must Match Dress

Bogart, canine graduate of Hollywood Paws, struts his stuff in photo shoot with CSI: Miami Star Emily Procter and $8,500 dress; proves a kiss is not always just a kiss.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 14, 2007 -- What's the perfect accessory for an $8,500 snow-leopard print Escada Couture gown? That was the question for the organizers of a recent photo shoot for CBS Watch magazine featuring CSI: Miami star Emily Procter. The actress, known to millions of viewers as Calleigh Duquesne on the hit TV series, played up her Southern roots on the shoot, posing with a limo and chauffeur at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in the extravagant black-and-white dress; and since a well-to-do Southern belle would likely be accompanied by an impressive pooch, the call went out for a dog to match. The L.A. animal-training academy had recently graduated Bogart, a Harlequin Dane with a spotted coat that was a perfect match for Procter's high-fashion dress. Owners Daniel Will and Judy Searing-Will were naturally delighted that their dog was hired for the shoot, but they were concerned that the location - the hotel's bustling valet entrance - might prove distracting for Bogart. Thanks to Paws trainer Joel Norton and sufficient prep time, Bogart proved as natural a star as his namesake, executing a number of stellar shots - including a final kiss with Procter. The gorgeous series of shots looks simple and natural, but the Wills, Norton and Bogart know that even the most basic production with animals requires ample preparation and training.
