PageMailr Makes it Easy for Others to Find You on the Internet

(PRWEB) December 19, 2007 -- Imagine googling someone's name and finding their contact page. And on this contact page is a secure mail forward that allows you to email them without you knowing their actual email address. PageMailr is offering a new free service that does just that, allowing its users to publish their contact page in a searchable format so that others can quickly and easily find them. There are other subtle but significant benefits to using PageMailr too.
"I know people's initial reaction to this tends to be negative, but why not put your contact information on the Internet so others can find you?" Says PageMailr's creator Pete Wingard. He goes on, "It is the first place most people look when searching for something." Mr. Wingard intends to change the way people use the Internet when contacting other friends or acquaintances. He says, "Imagine simply googling someone's name to get their contact page to send them an email. You wouldn't have to remember their email address anymore." Using PageMailr would allow users to email one another from any computer, not just from the computer that stores the email addresses.
What PageMailr does is publish a user's contact information on the Internet. Then to contact them you simply google their name and their contact page comes up in the results list. Click on their contact page link in the results to view their Contact Page. You can then send them a message through a secure mail form.
Mr. Wingard goes on to point out that the technology to make publishing a contact page securely on the Internet is already on the Internet. PageMailr, however, uses this technology in a different way to protect its users' email addresses from would be spammers. Each PageMailr Contact Page comes with a mail forward page. On this page a message can be "forwarded" to the PageMailr user's hidden email address. The "mail forward" or "form mail" page is currently used on many web sites allowing site visitors to send the site owner a message. PageMailr takes this a step further. PageMailr gives all of its users their own mail forward page that can be used not only with the PageMailr website but with other sites as well.
A second benefit to publishing a contact page with PageMailr is that each user's contact page can be accessed via a hyperlink. This PageMailr link can be used on the Internet as sort of an "electronic business card". PageMailr users can leave their link to their contact page not only on their web pages or blogs but also on other people's web sites or blogs. The link gives others who read the comments or posts an easy way to learn a little about a PageMailr user and a quick way to contact them. PageMailr even offers customized HTML code for users to graphically link to their contact page.
Using PageMailr also allows its users to keep their contact information online and in one place that never changes. PageMailr users can routinely change their physical or electronic addresses but still keep their PageMailr Page as their single point of contact. PageMailr addresses can be used in lieu of email addresses in most circumstances, even on business stationary.
A PageMailr Contact Page is composed of whatever information users are willing to share on the Internet. At present the contact information consists of name, city, state, and country. Adding the locale information is designed to help the search engine narrow the search results to the most likely match. PageMailr users may also list other information like their phone number, interests, or business content.
PageMailr also requires a valid email address. This allows PageMailr to create a mail forward page with their contact page. A mail forward is a script that takes a message from a page form and sends it to a hidden email address. The contact's email address is not revealed or exposed anywhere on the contact page. Using a built in mail forward with PageMailr prevents spammers from harvesting email addresses for junk mailing lists. PageMailr also adds security to this by requiring the sender to input a series of graphical characters before forwarding the message.
PageMailr Pages offer many of the benefits of having a website without the expense and trouble of actually having a website. PageMailr pages are searchable just like other web pages. PageMailr users may even include additional content in their pages to promote their interests or business.
PageMailr Pages are free but come with a limited amount of advertising. Creating a PageMailr page only takes a few minutes and requires no technical expertise to use. PageMailr automatically submits new contact pages to the search engines to crawl and index.
PageMailr is the creation of Pete Wingard. Mr. Wingard is currently looking for help in promoting PageMailr in the social media. Pete can be reached at his PageMailr Contact Page www.pagemailr.com/pete or by googling Pete Wingard.
