In 2006, 101 graduates from Full Sail Real World Education were involved in the production of 79 individual projects nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 66 separate categories. This follows closely behind last year's record number of 110 Full Sail graduates who worked on nominated projects in 2005.

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) February 9, 2007 -- In 2006, 101 graduates from Full Sail Real World Education were involved in the production of 79 individual projects nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 66 separate categories. This follows closely behind last year's record number of 110 Full Sail graduates who worked on nominated projects in 2005.

In addition, graduate Padraic Kerin is directly nominated in the Album of the Year category for his work on Justin Timberlake's album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, and graduate Danny Cheung also received a nomination for Record of the Year for work on Mary J. Blige's single, Be Without You. Therefore, both men are eligible to receive a GRAMMY Award of their own if the nominated artists win.

Year after year Full Sail graduates are among those recognized for their outstanding efforts by The Recording Academy. We applaud all for their remarkable achievements and for being honored alongside the industry's best. It is extremely rewarding to see their dreams become reality.
Last year, Recording Arts graduate, Phil Tan, received a GRAMMY Award for serving as a Mix Engineer on Mariah Carey's Best Contemporary R&B Album, The Emancipation of Mimi. This year Tan has contributed to 14 GRAMMY-nominated artist projects that include: Chris Brown, Lionel Richie and Janet Jackson.

For 12 out of the last 13 years, a Full Sail graduate has worked on every GRAMMY Award-winning Album of the Year including: Norah Jones (Come Away With Me), OutKast (Speakerboxxx/The Love Below), and the 2004 Album of the Year, Genius Loves Company by Ray Charles.

Full Sail graduates are represented across many GRAMMY categories including: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Rock Album, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Rap Album, Best Country Album and Best Musical Show Album. Contributing as Engineers, Assistant Engineers or Sound Mixers, Full Sail graduates were responsible for creating some of this year's finest musical selections from artists such as: John Mayer, Nelly Furtado, John Legend, Beyonce, Dixie Chicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Carrie Underwood.

Full Sail President, Garry Jones said, "Year after year Full Sail graduates are among those recognized for their outstanding efforts by The Recording Academy.
