The International Country Music Database Launches Indie Corner

Promoting and supporting independent country music talent has always been a large part of the International Country Music Database (ICMDb(TM)) mission. Now, the indies have their own home on the site.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 14, 2007 -- In an effort to further support and promote new and independent artists in country music, ICMDb has created an area just for these artists. The Indie Corner breaks out the independent artists from the growing ICMDB artist database (currently 700 artists).

With a separate “homepage” and navigation, the Indie Corner helps users who are interested in new and indie artists to more easily locate these artists. New and independent artists will still be promoted on the main ICMDb site, but now they will also be on the Indie Corner pages, doubling their exposure.

Indie Corner features currently include the Artist Spotlight on the “homepage,” a browse feature showing only indie country music artists, a guide to where to buy independent country music, and links to our review and interviews pages. More features are planned for the future.

Independent artists who do not find themselves listed should contact ICMDb to be added.

The ICMDb main site (http://www.icmdb.com) features news, artist information, tour information, CD and concert reviews, interviews, chart information, new release information, the country music festivals page, the ICMDb blog and more. The scope of the main site includes all of country music -- past, present and future.

The International Country Music Database is starting its third year of providing country music news and information. The site is owned by Duval Media Grup, LLC, based in Austin, TX.
