Ghost Brackets Rise Again at MotoLeather

MotoLeather.com to offer Ghost Brackets saddlebag mounting system after product's fourteen month absence from the motorcycle accessory marketplace.

Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) February 16, 2007 -- Motorcycle riders and customizers once again have access to a state-of-the-art motorcycle accessory that vanished over a year ago. Ghost Brackets, the quick-release system that allows saddlebags to affix to the rear fender of a bike with no obvious parts, are available again starting this week at MotoLeather.com.

The Ghost Brackets system works through a simple design that includes metal brackets, which affix to the bike's saddlebags; and "keepers," which replace the bolts on each side of the bike's rear fender. The brackets and keepers secure together through a durable flush mount lock, providing a tough mounting system that won't rattle off during long rides.

It's been a tough wait for some, and we've been just flooded with requests.
Ghost Brackets are virtually invisible when the saddlebags are removed. The brackets themselves remain on the saddlebags, and the keeper bolts replace the original manufacturer's rear fender bolts. Once installation is completed, the bags can be removed or secured in a matter of seconds and minimal effort. Without the saddlebags installed, the bike retains its original stock look. And because the keepers replace bolts on each side of the rear fender, they remain out of the way for additional hardware such as sissy bars and backrests.

Released through Arizona-based motorcycle accessory experts MotoLeather.com, the system was unavailable since December of 2005 due to manufacturing issues. MotoLeather CEO Mike Gelblicht says the time away from the bike-customizing marketplace only fueled demand.

"For the past few months, we've actually had to start compiling waiting lists," Gelblicht explains. "It's been a tough wait for some, and we've been just flooded with requests."

The online retailer plans to offer the Ghost Brackets system for most Harley Davidson, Indian, Victory, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Triumph bikes. Prices for the complete system, including lock keys and mounting hardware, typically run in the $150 range. Gelblicht says barring any unforeseeable events, MotoLeather.com will continue to offer Ghost Brackets for the foreseeable future.

MotoLeather.com offers a complete range of biker accessories, apparel, and customizing options for all varieties of bikes. Founded in 2003, the company ships to the United States, Canada, and several foreign nations. Visit www.motoleather.com for more information.
