Following on the heels of a successful 2006 LMP2-class racing season, American Le Mans Series tire supplier KUMHO TIRES is continuing its expansion of its American motor sport program to include North America's fastest-growing time trial series, the Redline TIME ATTACK!, presented by Hawk Performance Brake Pads.

Fontana, CA (PRWEB) February 17, 2007 -- Following on the heels of a successful 2006 LMP2-class racing season, American Le Mans Series tire supplier KUMHO TIRES is continuing its expansion of its American motor sport program to include North America's fastest-growing time trial series, the Redline TIME ATTACK!, presented by Hawk Performance Brake Pads.

Starting with the opening round TIME ATTACK! event at Southern California's famed California Speedway, KUMHO will offer a contingency reward program to competitors in all nine divisions of time trial racing. In order to qualify for the contingency reward, drivers must compete using any tire in KUMHO's battle-proven line-up. Contingency Kumho Bucks, which can be applied toward the purchase of Kumho tires, will be rewarded to qualifying Redline TIME ATTACK! racers placing 1st ($100), 2nd ($75), and 3rd ($50) in their respective divisions, with additional cash being rewarded to the overall Class champion ($100) and overall Event champion ($100).

Tire manufacturers are known for using motor sport competition to "improve the breed" of their street tires, and KUMHO is no exception.
