Music to the Ears: TuneFlow.com Asks Public to Decide Best New Songs

Music Website TuneFlow.com is asking the public to vote for the best songs in its latest "tune tournament." The songs with the best average ratings at the end of the month win. It's "battle of the bands" --Internet style.

(PRWEB) March 6, 2007 -- Music Website TuneFlow.com's March "tune tournament" is now underway.

Part "American Idol," part edgy Internet music scene, TuneFlow's tournament challenges artists to create and record new songs based on titles chosen by TuneFlow. After the titles are announced, artists have just one month to write, record, and submit their entries. The public then rates the songs submitted. The songs with the best average ratings at the end of the month win. It's "battle of the bands" --Internet style.

The Voice In My Head
Martch's tournament features the titles:

"If Pain Was Pleasure"
"The Edge Of Somewhere"
"The Voice In My Head"
"It's Better This Way"

Song reviewers are rewarded for their participation, too. For every three reviews, the reviewer can earn free downloads of any of the nearly 1500 songs on the site (songs are in iPod-ready MP3 format, and there's no DRM). So far, TuneFlow features the music of over 500 artists, with new songs added daily.

With fresh, new music and artists...free, legal downloads...and the public getting to decide the winners, there's a lot to like here.

To get started as a reviewer, just go to http://www.tuneflow.com and click the "Rate Tunes" button.

But how good is the music? After all, you probably won't hear any entries by The Red Hot Chili Peppers or My Chemical Romance.

"Amazingly good actually," according to TuneFlow founder, Gery Carson. "The music that our artists are creating --I'd put it up against anything out there. The fact is, there are thousands of great independent singers, songwriters and bands all over the world making awesome music; you just don't hear them on the radio --not yet anyway. We're delighted to be an outlet for these talented individuals," says Carson.

Artists interested in entering the April tournament (or getting a free Website and music store to sell their music on TuneFlow) can get the full details at: http://www.tuneflow.com/tournament.php
