IAOP Inducts Ron Kifer and Kevin Campbell into Its Outsourcing Hall of Fame
The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is pleased to announce that Ron Kifer, Group Vice President and CIO, Applied Materials and Kevin Campbell, Group Chief Executive - Outsourcing, Accenture have been inducted into The Outsourcing Hall of Fame.
LaGrangeville, NY (PRWEB) March 5, 2007 -- The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is pleased to announce that Ron Kifer, Group Vice President and CIO, Applied Materials and Kevin Campbell, Group Chief Executive - Outsourcing, Accenture have been inducted into The Outsourcing Hall of Fame. The award ceremony took place at a luncheon at The 2007 Outsourcing World Summit® in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 20th which featured guest speaker David Kirkpatrick, Senior Editor, Internet & Technology, FORTUNE.
“The Outsourcing Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding professionals who have made significant impact on both business and society through their contributions to the management practice of outsourcing,” said Christina Powers, Executive Director of IAOP. “Ron and Kevin are both innovative thinkers who exemplify leadership, and on behalf of outsourcing professionals around the globe, IAOP is extremely proud to select them as the 2007 recipients.”
As Group Vice President and CIO of Applied Materials, Ron Kifer has responsibility for Global Information Services strategy, planning, operations, infrastructure, and development. Mr. Kifer joined Applied Materials in May of 2006 with the charter to transform that organization’s IT capability to world class status. “My career spans more than 35 years in Information Technology leadership. For the majority of those years, I have been involved in outsourcing in one form or another. But also for the majority of those years that involvement has been without the benefit of industry standards, a body of professional knowledge and BKM's, or professional qualification and certification standards,” said Kifer. “Of course, that is no longer true, thanks in large part to the leadership of the IAOP in each of these areas. It is an honor to be recognized in this way for my contributions to IAOP's mission of helping shape the future of outsourcing as a management practice, as a profession and as an industry.”
Kevin Campbell, Accenture’s Group Chief Executive – Outsourcing, has ultimate responsibility for the development and delivery of the company’s application outsourcing, infrastructure outsourcing and business process outsourcing services and solutions. “It is an honor to be named to the Outsourcing Hall of Fame and I thank the IAOP for its role in helping to shape the future of outsourcing,” said Kevin Campbell. “This recognition is really for all the great clients and client service teams with whom I’ve had the privilege to work – and our industry will continue to grow due to the vision, expertise and integrity of outsourcing professionals around the world.”
