Mark Winter Releases New Country Music CD

"Another Round For My Friends" -- traditional country lyrics merge with new pop sound.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) March 26, 2007 -- Singer, songwriter, producer and country music artist, Mark Winter's new CD, "Another Round For My Friends," blends traditional country lyrics with new age technology and electronics for an authentic country music sound.

In Winter's latest album, the lighter side of life is explored with songs like "You Had A Little Work Done", "Cotton Candy" and "I Wanna Be A Moviestar." Mark Winter also delves into fantasy with "Christine" and "Supernatural." In the song, "Christine" Mark tells the mystical tale of a long lost love returning from beyond, and how love lives forever. "Supernatural" tells the story of the romance of Superman (Clark Kent.) and Lois Lane.

"This CD is bold and engaging, as it combines the ideal country lyrics with memorable melodies and new age technology," said Eddie Machado, Vice President of Promotions for Wintertainment. "Thanks to Mark's ingenious work in the studio, fans will hear a new country sound while at the same time singing along to lyrics that anyone can relate to."

Mark Winter started out in music as a piano playing three-year-old. Since then, it's been a long and interesting road in the industry. He's written music for just about every type of application imaginable; Winter was a founding member of the Epic/Sony act Ilusion, he's written and produced music for Goodyear, MTV and other radio/television clients, and has produced a wide variety of recording artists.

Winter recently headlined GearWire.com's Featured Artist section in a two-part series. Joe Wallace, editor of GearWire.com, interviewed Winter on his recording and producing techniques. When asked how Winter produced a country CD without veering from the traditional country music sound, Winter replied:

"Country is a little more modern today. I did stay pretty true to the music; I had my guitarists, bassist, and drummer. On some things, I used a real piano, and on other things I used samples that sound real. I did add a little bit of electronics in this project, just very tasteful things here and there."

Mark Winter's new CD, "Another Round For My Friends," is available through DigStation, CDBaby, amazon.com and available on his official website, www.mark-winter.com.
