Agenda Magazine Spring 2007 Issue Focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder

In honor of Autism Awareness month this April, Agenda Magazine interviews Raun Kaufman, who recovered from Autism Spectrum Disorder and is now the CEO of the Autism Treatment Center of America. This interview gives hope that there is life after Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 1, 2007 -- For the webzine that gives you fashion, and always finds the human-interest side of every story, this issue of Agenda Magazine (Agendamag.com) has managed to top its last 13 issues. Since Summer 2004, the niche-specific webzine has created beautiful layouts and engrossing articles, and was the premiere content-heavy website to display vast numbers of streaming videos anywhere online. (Now the Internet is saturated with them.)

But what's so special about the Spring 2007 issue? Aside from its usual content-filled pages, in honor of Autism Awareness month this April, Agenda Magazine focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which has risen to an alarming rate. Chief Editor, Kaylene Peoples, interviewed ASD survivor Raun Kaufman, the child that the best-selling book Son-Rise, a true story about ASD, was written about.

"Almost 3 decades ago, Autism Spectrum Disorder was not as prevalent. Only 1 in 10,000 children were diagnosed with the disorder. Today, 1 in 150 children are diagnosed. This number was so disturbing that I felt compelled to create further awareness to this growing epidemic. Hopefully, Kaufman's interview will help continue to spread the news that there is life after Autism Spectrum Disorder."

Raun Kaufman fully recovered from autism and now heads the Autism Treatment Center of America (Option Institute). Raun teaches the very same techniques that healed him. His treatment center has created hope where there was none for families with an autistic child.

"So often I see in the media messages being given to parents and by professionals, doom and gloom about their children. I think hope leads to action, and that's how these children are helped. Parents have been able to do amazing things with their children if they're just given a chance."-- Raun Kaufman

Also of special interest this issue of Agenda Magazine are the interviews with Rachel Melvin of "Days of Our Lives," actress Marlene Forté, celebrity photographer Keith Munyan; the review of Sidney Poitier's memoir, The Measure of a Man; and The Indie Hotspot, a new section focusing on independent music and film featuring recording artist Michelle Shaprow.

Agenda Magazine is a quarterly webzine that is read world-wide, and continues to gain momentum with each issue. Login to the website and read, watch, but most of all, enjoy!
