The 'Doctor' Is In At HotRodHotLine Rodding Magazine

HotRodHotLine, the world's largest online rodding magazine, announces Hot Rod MD, a problem solving library of restoration services and parts to their website. Hot rod enthusiasts of all venues now have the opportunity to tap into the knowledge of one of the industry's all-time experts, Jim Clark.

Boise, Idaho (PRWEB) April 9, 2007 -- HotRodHotLine, the world's largest online rodding magazine, announces Hot Rod MD, a problem solving library of restoration services and parts to their website. Hot rod enthusiasts of all venues now have the opportunity to tap into the knowledge of one of the industry's all-time experts, Jim Clark.

Clark is well known for being the first editor of Street Rodder magazine when that publication was launched back in 1972. He was also co-founder and editorial director of Street Rodder, Truckin', Hot Bike and Street Chopper, among other newsstand titles. He has authored numerous books including a how-to book on building hot rod trucks and is co-owner of Tex Smith's Hot Rod Library, currently offering over a dozen titles.

Anyone who has ever worked on a restoration project is well aware of the surprises that can crop up. Knowledge and resources that are difficult to find can often take extensive time away from the project. With Clark hosting Hot Rod MD a vast store of knowledge will now be readily available online for the DIY rodder.

"Over four decades of involvement in the building of custom and hot rod cars, bikes, and trucks, as well as photographing and writing about them, has provided me with an extensive information data base," Clark said. "Hopefully, by providing this information via Hot Rod MD I can share my knowledge with those who are involved in a hot rod build."

In addition to Clark's savvy know-how, resources that can be found at Hot Rod MD come from an extensive array of industry experts and manufacturers who provide the parts for the restorations. There are categories such as heat/air, braking, chassis and interior that cover the restoration of the vehicle from bumper to bumper. The tech department contains hundreds of pages of detailed information as well as FAQ's on chopping a top, wiring, steering and other "how-to" subjects provided by companies such as Painless Performance, Air Ride Pro, Ron Francis Wiring, MSD Ignition and many others. By researching the project first, restorers can familiarize themselves with the application and parts needed before diving in to the build.

"This is truly the coolest thing we have accomplished," Jack Lawford, who with his wife, Mary Ann, owns the company, said. "Editing the content for Hot Rod MD is like uncovering buried treasure!"

Painless Performance Products president, Adrian Murray feels Hot Rod MD is an excellent way to get valuable technical information about their products in particular, and automotive electrical in general, before a wide audience. "HotRodHotLine has evolved into an important resource for any automotive hobbyist. In fact, we're kept more up to date about industry-related news and events from their weekly newsletter than from any other single source. We know the website generates an enormous amount of traffic because we can see it reflected in our own traffic," Murray commented.

A new sponsor of the MD resource area is Tim McCarthy, president of HushMat. He feels, "It's vital to promote the hobby and by helping to teach the younger generation how to restore their rods we can pass along the knowledge that we have learned as well introduce the new damping technology -- and that is exciting!"

Hotrodhotline.com began in 1999 as a "Cars for Sale" site and has expanded to become the largest online rodding magazine including thousands of pages of information, articles and classifieds with over 35,000 Unique Visitors per day. The HotRodHotLine Group of publications includes www.HotRodHotLine.com, www.HRHLBikes.com
and www.Hotrodtrucks.com and www.HotRodMD.com. For a complete bio of Clark visit Hot Rod MD.
