Dantel, Inc. Experiences Tremendous Response at the ISC West 2007 Expo For Cellular Remote Site Surveillance and Security

Interest from water resource, construction, pipeline and landfill industries reinforces importance of remote monitoring solution to transport video, alarm and sensory data via a cellular.

(PRWEB) April 10, 2007 -- Dantel, Inc., the leader in surveillance and management systems, announced today that it received enormous response at the ISC West 2007 Expo in Las Vegas, March 28-30, 2007, from a variety of visitors to its booth in need of a highly reliable remote monitoring device capable of streaming video, alarms and data through the cellular network.

Dantel featured its Disaster Resistant Event Network (DREN), a scalable, hardened, remote monitoring and communication system, designed to capture and transport critical event data from remote or otherwise inaccessible locations. The DREN incorporates various sensory, video, solar and encrypted wireless WAN technologies.

"The high level of interest we had in the DREN revealed not only a need for remote monitoring, but also a reliable method to transport video, alarm and sensory data, via a cellular system (CDMA)," said Dave Lauger, director of business development for Dantel. "That's where our WebMon Edge comes in to play. It is one of two intelligent devices designed and manufactured at Dantel that we utilize with the DREN.

The WebMon Edge is a fully integrated remote monitoring and surveillance platform certified for all outdoor applications (operating range of -45C to +85C). The Edge has numerous key features including, in part, 8 analog and 8 discrete inputs, arithmetic and Boolean derived response, 2 control outputs, scheduling, on board temperature and humidity sensor, web browser access, along with email and text message alarm notification of events.

"The interest we received at this year's ISC West from areas such as water resource, construction, pipeline and landfill industries served to reinforce the importance of a solution such as our DREN and the WebMon Edge or Matrix as a transport device. We are aggressively exploring partnerships with security dealers, integrators and OEMs to address this growing demand for a truly remote surveillance platform," added Lauger.
