2007 John Kulick Heroism Award to be Presented to Montgomery County DA Bruce Castor

Award to be presented at the 3rd Annual John Kulick Memorial Golf Outing on August 24, 2007 at Lederach Golf Club.

Blue Bell, PA (PRWEB) April 23, 2007 -- The Whitpain Township Fire Fighter's Association and Empyrean Management Group, Inc. are pleased to announce Montgomery County DA Bruce Castor as the recipient of this year's John Kulick Heroism Award. The award, named after firefighter and soldier John Kulick who died while serving as a PA National Guardsman in Iraq, was created last year to honor an individual that goes above and beyond the call of duty for our community.

"Mr. Castor was chosen by the award committee based on his achievements as a member of the law enforcement community as well as for his support in honoring John Kulick for the sacrifices he made for all of us," said award committee member Michael Kalinsky of Empyrean Management Group.

Mr. Castor's support was instrumental in our petition efforts and has resulted in the commission of a war memorial honoring John and other local Iraqi war vets. I can't think of a better way to keep John's memory alive than to honor Mr. Castor for the difference he makes in our community.

Don Lynch, a Whitpain Township Firefighter/Paramedic and friend of John Kulick said, "Mr. Castor's support was instrumental in our petition efforts and has resulted in the commission of a war memorial honoring John and other local Iraqi war vets. Mr. Castor will be presented with the award at the 3rd Annual John Kulick Memorial Golf Outing on August 24, 2007 at Lederach Golf Club in Harleysville, PA. This year the golf outing will raise money to benefit the newly created Emergency Responders Assistance Fund. This fund will provide financial assistance to emergency responders and their families in need.

Both the award and golf outing were created to commemorate John Kulick's life and service, as a firefighter in his everyday life serving Whitpain Township and as a soldier who dedicated his life to fighting for his country and helping others.
