Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 30, 2007 -- Spur Digital, Houston's leading interactive marketing agency, announced today the official launch of HMNSrome.com, the official micro-site for The Houston Museum Of Natural Science's (HMNS) latest exhibit, Imperial Rome.

As the museum's online advertising agency of record, Spur Digital created an interactive micro-site HMNSrome.com to promote attendance to the exhibit by educating and intriguing visitors. Concentrating on Religion, Daily Life, Power and Emperors in ancient Rome, each subject is accompanied by video clips and downloadable wallpapers of Roman images that visitors can save to their desktops.

Working with Spur Digital contributes to the success of the exhibitions that come to HMNS. With Imperial Rome we knew we had a great opportunity to have fun with the look and feel of the advertising
"Working with Spur Digital contributes to the success of the exhibitions that come to HMNS. With Imperial Rome we knew we had a great opportunity to have fun with the look and feel of the advertising," said Latha Thomas, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "Spur Digital created a flash-based interactive micro-site HMNSrome.com, where users can learn more about the exhibition before they see it. This has led to increased attendance and ticket sales. We are looking forward to Spur Digital's efforts for our next exhibition."

To increase awareness of the exhibit and site, Spur Digital included the "When in Rome Giveaway" where entrants can win an assortment of Italian-themed prizes. Sponsors include Paciugo Italian Gelato and Caffé, Dolce Vita Day Spa and Central Market. Visitors are encouraged to enter and increase their chances of winning by "telling the mob" - their friends. The giveaway not only extends campaign reach, but helps build the Museum's email marketing list by giving visitors an opportunity to opt in when entering.

The micro-site, hmnsRome.com, and the When in Rome Giveaway are currently live and will conclude on July 29, 2007.
