The Perception Project: A Multimedia Contest with a Mission

Outpost for Hope, in collaboration with Let's Bring Them Home, announces The Perception Project, a multimedia contest designed to provoke thought and inspire different perceptions about who (or what) is lost.

(PRWEB) April 27, 2007 -- Outpost for Hope, in collaboration with Let's Bring Them Home, announces The Perception Project, a multimedia contest designed to provoke thought and inspire different perceptions about who (or what) is lost.

What does the word 'lost' mean to you?

Through the perception project, Outpost for Hope and Let's Bring Them Home invite you to consider what lost means to you and share your interpretations through photography, writing, video or other creative expression.

This is the chance for individuals to inspire others with imagery and words that may challenge perceptions, provoke thought and perhaps encourage others to notice something not so clearly visible before. It is the hope of Outpost for Hope and Let's Bring Them Home that The Perception Project will also shine the light on a population of unknown and often invisible population of lost children; the kids off the grid ™.

Your perception message could help to bring a lost loved one home by bringing awareness to this complex social epidemic.

All creative project submissions will be voted on for the opportunity to be seen at our online Perception Project Gallery at www.perceptionproject.com by thousands of viewers nationwide.

What kind of images can be submitted? If it can be scanned and emailed, we can accept it. Visit www.perceptionproject.com for a complete list of entry guidelines.

Submissions will be accepted through October 1, 2007. Beginning on May 1, 2007, submissions will be posted that reflect some of our favorite photos/captions (based on originality, storytelling strength, technical excellence, and artistic merit). The public will have an opportunity to vote on their favorites, and the projects with the most votes will be featured in a special exhibit in the online gallery for 6 months (October - April 2008).

The Perception Project Contest is open to anyone over age 12.

Why the Perception Project?
Missing ... and lost ... that population by definition is misunderstood, forgotten or avoided. It is the desire of Outpost for Hope and Let's Bring Them Home, both mission-based organizations that serve as advocates for the missing, to shed light on this social epidemic in order to find solutions, and to bring home those who are lost.
