National Jewish Outreach Program founder is recognized as one of the most influential rabbis in America.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2007 -- As profiled in a recent Newsweek article, Rabbi Ephraim Z. Buchwald, founder of the National Jewish Outreach Program (www.njop.org) was listed as #24 in a group of the 50 most influential rabbis in America. The list, compiled by Sony Pictures CEO Michael Lynton, Newscorp's Gary Ginsberg, and Jay Sanderson of Jewish Television Network evaluated the influence of rabbis based on a series of criteria including media presence, leadership, and impact on Judaism.

Founded in 1987 by Rabbi Buchwald to address the critical issue of lack of Jewish knowledge, NJOP is now one of the largest and most successful Jewish outreach organizations in the world.
