Gift Giving Dilemma for Those Hard-to-Buy-For "Tweeners" Give a Gift You'll Both Love
RUVAcards, a new line of personalized cards and stationery available online at www.ruvacards.com, has come up with an affordable, age-appropriate solution that older kids will enjoy getting and parents and grandparents will feel good about giving: personalized note cards.
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) May 1, 2007 -- "Tweeners" are hard to buy for, especially on a budget. The tech-savvy 8-14 year olds have strong opinions about what they want...and don't want.
Admit it. It's much easier to buy gifts for those sparkly-eyed preschoolers who get excited about any and all toys that come their way.
But RUVAcards, a new line of personalized cards and stationery available online at www.ruvacards.com, has come up with an affordable, age-appropriate solution that older kids will enjoy getting and parents and grandparents will feel good about giving: personalized note cards.
RUVAcards offers fun and funky artwork to reflect older kids' interests and style, ranging from sports and CD headsets to flip-flops and frogs. RUVAcards owner Cindy Coughlin knows the designs hit home with those difficult-to-buy-for "tweeners" because she tested them on her own kids.
"I started looking for cards and stationery to fit my children's interests during a pen pals project," Coughlin explains. "There just really wasn't anything out there for older kids. Now my daughter will take these cards and use them for all sorts of things, like scrapbooking or decorating gifts. They use them to write notes to their friends and to their grandparents."
While the cards are constructed of high-quality and unusual papers, the cost remains middle-of-the-road. Cards come package priced with matching envelopes ranging from $.50 - $2.50 each. Cards are printed with the newest digital technology from Xerox and Canon achieving vibrant colors. Furthermore, RUVAcards can ship your order in about 3-5 days.
"Our stationery and all-occasion cards make great birthday and special occasion gifts, as well," Coughlin suggests. "And with the quick turn-around, it's a last-minute alternative that looks like you had to plan ahead!"

Cynthia Coughlin founded RUVAcards in September 2006. Much of her card line resulted from her partnership with Michelle Snyder, NY, her lead graphic designer. Coughlin, 42, lives and works in Appleton, WI, located about 35 miles south of Green Bay. Ruva is a nickname her son (8) has called her since he was two. One dollar from every order will go to a different charity each year. This year, the proceeds will benefit Help the Afghan Children (HTAC), an organization recognized on Oprah's Angel Network.
