San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) May 5, 2007 -- EcoTimber, the nation's largest hardwood and bamboo flooring manufacturer and distributor devoted exclusively to environmentally-friendly products, has secured equity funding from New West Capital Partners and Greenmont Capital Partners, both of Colorado.
According to CEO Lewis Erick Buchner, "Supply chain is key for EcoTimber's sales and growth. With this additional funding, we are now able to travel the world, working with suppliers to produce products that meet our quality and environmental standards."
The capital investment has also allowed EcoTimber to hire two key staff members: Gary Horsfall (COO) and Michael Siskin (National Sales Manager). Mr. Horsfall has 30 years of experience in the wood products industry, and is well versed in various operations principles from Lean Manufacturing to Activity-Based Costing. Mr. Siskin comes to EcoTimber from Mohawk Industries - the largest flooring manufacturer in the U.S., where he served in various sales management positions over a span of 20 years.
Most importantly, EcoTimber is now ready to expand its network of authorized dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada. "The green building marketplace is exploding, Buchner said, "And consumers are increasingly concerned about where their flooring comes from, and which chemicals are used in producing it. As we grow, EcoTimber will be able to better meet such concerns with beautiful and durable products."
