Donating and Recycling Old Computers and Laptops in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Canada Can Help your Local or International Charities of Choice

Don't toss that computers for recycling or into the landfills, a local charity could use it. Hundreds of charities in Alberta, British Columbia, across Canada, USA, and world wide, need help.

(PRWEB) May 14, 2007 -- These days as society is accustomed to the newest and latest gadgets, people often tent to forget about the poor and disadvantaged communities that don't have these gadgets, and can only dream about even having that old computer some are planning to toss into the garbage.

This is about to end, thanks to the Electronic Recycling Associations. The ERA is a non profit organization, which collects old computers, monitors, laptops, servers, and all kinds of high tech gadgetry to help other charities, non profit groups, and similar organizations, who can not otherwise afford this equipment.

The ERA is partnering with many charities and non profit groups, to collect old computers, laptops, servers and networking equipment for further use. Corporations and government departments across Canada are often upgrading their equipment, and seldom think that their old equipment has any value.

ERA is able to provide these corporations and government departments an excellent, socially beneficial and environmentally friendly service. The ERA will collect old computer and server equipment, refurbish it, make sure all data is removed, and provide it to organizations and individuals in need.

ERA has an outstanding request list with over 100 charities and non profit groups waiting for computer and networking equipment. Many charities are applying daily for equipment, and the ERA welcomes more charities to request computers and electronic equipment for their needs.

For further information and a complete list of charities in need, please visit the ERA website at www.era.ca

ERA can schedule a pickup for 20 or more computers from any company or government department in Canada. ERA also has many drop off depots, enabling residents and the public to take part, and donate their personal computers to many charities in need.

ERA - a non profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has offices in Calgary/Edmonton/Vancouver/Toronto.
