Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 23, 2007 -- Waxploitation announced today that it has launched an initiative to promote its artists across a world of online social networks, broadcasters and social news platforms including Netvibes, MOG, Imeem, Bebo, Last.Fm, Revver, Del.icio.us, Joost, Virb, hi5, MySpace International, Napster Japan, Flickr, Purevolume, Twitter, to name a few. In addition, the Company is working closely with companies developing subscription-based and advertising-based models.
Waxploitation has entered into over 30 focused long-term relationships which include providing exclusive content, implementing unique marketing and promotion campaigns, customized pages and universes, RSS news feeds, programming stand-alone music channels and so on.
"In the past, music companies could pick a few of the biggest destinations," says Waxploitation founder and creative director Jeff Antebi. "But it's just as important to support new visionaries. The more dynamic these sites become, the better the experience is for music fans. Record Labels, Artist Management Companies, Music Publishers all have a vested interest in providing the maximum amount of information…and whenever possible - music…across the widest variety of platforms".
Notably, almost one-third of the sites Waxploitation is populating with music and information are non-English language and/or non-North American based. "While it's astonishing that Gnarls Barkley had over 8,000,000 plays of 'Crazy' on MySpace America, in many ways, it's as important for us to be providing an experience for fans via QQ in China, Mixie in Japan, Myvideo in Germany, AOL India, Orkut in Brazil. If we are not administrating the moving parts, we don't deserve to have a voice with them either."
