The first "Naperville Lithuanian Mini-Festival" will delight and entertain all who come to this celebration of Lithuanian culture. For those who are looking for something to do June 2nd, or if they've always wanted to learn about Lithuania, then this festival is right for them. In addition to Lithuanian food you'll also have a chance to learn about Lithuanian history, see Lithuanian dance, experience Lithuanian music and art, and buy Lithuanian arts and crafts.
Chicago/Naperville (PRWEB) May 26, 2007 -- The first "Naperville Lithuanian Mini-Festival" will delight and entertain all who come to this celebration of Lithuanian culture. For those who are looking for something to do June 2nd, or if they've always wanted to learn about Lithuania, then this festival is right for them. In addition to Lithuanian food they'll also have a chance to learn about Lithuanian history, see Lithuanian dance, experience Lithuanian music and art, and buy Lithuanian arts and crafts.
Hosted by the North Central College International Club and the Lithuanian Folk Dance Group Grandis, the festival will feature: a presentation on Lithuania and Lithuanians in America, a dance performance by the group Grandis, a jazz performance, a film screening of several award winning Lithuanian films, an art exhibit, food, and arts and crafts booths featuring woodcarving, weaving and textiles, jewelry, books, music, travel information and more.
The event begins at 1:30 p.m. and continues until 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, without food.
Performances and screenings will take place at the White Activities Center at North Central College, and exhibits will also be located there. Traditional Lithuanian food will be served in the BoilerHouse Café at North Central College.
