ProDance! Revolutionizing The Sports Dance Industry
Ever wonder where, when and how the dancers from the NBA, NFL, CFL, AFL, and other professional sports dance teams do their pre-season training? Look no further than ProDance. ProDance has forever changed the way sports dance teams train.
(PRWEB) June 1, 2007 -- When Rosalyn Jones is talking about ProDance, a company she founded 8 years ago, her enthusiasm and passion are infectious. You can almost see the capital letters in the air. ProDance 2007, she says, will be everything you could ever want in a professional sports dance conference. The event, she insists, will be unmatched, the choreographers absolutely phenomenal and the choreography simply amazing. When Rosalyn says, "you're in for an unforgettable experience", believe her.
Based on its expanding popularity and increasing attendance rates, it's easy to see why ProDance is fast becoming THE event for professional sports dancers representing the NBA, NFL, AFL, CFL, NFLE, OHL, MISL, NLL, and other professional sports teams around the world. Last year, over 70 sports dance teams attended. Attendance at ProDance guarantees taking over 30 fully choreographed routines home to their respective franchises. It's professional sports entertainment at its finest.
The benefits that participants take away from ProDance each year are immense. "ProDance has been an exciting opportunity to challenge dancers to push themselves to the top of their game in a positive environment", says Dianne Greenough, director of the Edmonton Eskimos Dance Team. "The chance to train beside other successful dancers and work with the top choreographers in North America is a rare opportunity, particularly for the talented young ladies I bring from Canada. ProDance has allowed my dance team to realize that they are skilled and yet acknowledge that there is far to go to reach the standards set by this amazing program."
Courtney Niven, of the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak adds, " I can't imagine going through a season without the ProDance DVD!!!"
ProDance 2007 will take place July 29 - August 1 at LaQuinta Resort and Club near Palm Springs, California. More than 400 professional sports dancers from teams like the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Edmonton Eskimos, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, and many more are expected to attend, making it, in the words of Jones, "our most exciting event yet". Teams from across the United States, Canada, and as far away as Japan and Malaysia will be taking part in the event.
ProDance's biggest draw has always been the high quality of choreography and instruction it provides. They continue to attract the most sought-after talent in the world and this year will be no exception. Two choreographers who are sure to delight every attendee will be from the hit movie "Stomp The Yard". Dave Scott, head choreographer and master mind behind "Stomp the Yard" and "You Got Served" will delight the crowd with his genius. Chuck Maldonado, who served as assistant choreographer on Stomp The Yard, is returning to ProDance after an electrifying master class last summer. The world-class choreographers don't stop there. ProDance choreographers include Mikey Minden, choreographer for the Pussy Cat Dolls, Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo, Marina and Mina Ortega, John Peters, Teresa Espinosa, Karl Mundt, Chio, and from the Fox hit show "So You Think You Can Dance" NuStylz.
An exciting and new addition to ProDance 2007 will be "PDC"---ProDance Collegiate. For the first time,ProDance has designed a program specifically for collegiate dance teams.
"I've spoken with many directors who are seeking MORE out of their camp experience. Some want to increase their success at Nationals. Others want to go to a camp where the focus is on learning and acquiring enough choreography to get them through their season. Still others want to have a more polished look for their fans", said Jones, "It is my goal that ProDance Collegiate will fill the void for college dance teams".
ProDance Collegiate will take place July 26 -28 at the prestigious LaQuinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, CA. And will feature choreography from: Carol Lloyd from the elite University of Memphis, Luam, Gustavo Vargas, Brian "BT" Thomas, Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo, and fresh from the pages of Dance Spirit Magazine - Misha Gabriel. A select group of college teams will feature the opportunity to inject new energy into their existing programs with over 15 fully choreographed routines.
ProDance and PDC will also proudly offer scholarships provided by the world famous Broadway Dance Center in New York and the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.
It all comes together to make the most exceptional and exciting dance event of the year. ProDance!
