Fluge Global Adventures Three-Car Team Wraps Up Successful Test Day at Portland International Raceway
Team Makes Charitable Prize Donations Made to Rose Festival, Friends of Portland International Raceway, Community Transitional School, and North Portland Youth Soccer
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) June 1, 2007 -- Fluge Global Adventures (FGA) three-car assault on The Rose Cup Races this weekend wrapped up a successful test day at Portland International Raceway Tuesday.
Nick Fluge competes Saturday in his 2005 Chevrolet Corvette in the ITE class in hopes beating a pack of Turbo Porsches in the Festival Trophy Race. Professional race driver and Pro Drive school owner Todd Harris drives the FGA GT1 Corvette in Sunday's feature race in the GT1 class, while Matt Crandall drives the FGA Panoz GTX in the GT2 class.

To cap off the weekend of motorsport activities, Fluge Global Adventures also announced charitable donations of nearly $20,000 dollars to north Portland community programs and the Portland Rose Festival Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation supports youth, education, arts and the environment along with Rose Festival historical curriculum that was presented to 3rd through 5th graders this year, teaching school children in the Portland-metro area about the history of Portland and the Rose Festival.
"We are proud to be a part of Oregon Region Sports Car Club of America competition at Portland International Raceway, as well as being a participant in community-related projects that benefit everyone in north Portland," Nick Fluge said.

Rose Cup Presentations Sunday
Donations for the Rose Cup race Sunday are:
1st Place Finisher - $5000 to Portland Rose Festival Foundation presented on the podium by the first place finisher.
2nd Place Finisher - $2500 to Friends of Portland International Raceway (FOPIR) presented on the podium by the second place finisher.
3rd Place Finisher - $1000 presented on the podium by the third place finisher to the Community Transitional School, providing important educational services to children who are homeless or otherwise at risk of school failure.

For 2007, Fluge has custom designed a series of events and adventures sure to please anyone wishing to rekindle their relationship with adrenaline and excitement.
These include a 19,000 foot summit run at Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, a 3,000-mile cross country road race in The Great American Run, a very serious hike to the Base Camp at Mt. Fluge is leading a three-car team in pursuit of winning the two featured races: the Rose Cup on Sunday and the Festival Trophy race on Saturday. His final race of the year will be the June 30-July1 Pro Drive Regionals at PIR.
Fluge then moves on to Las Vegas to play in three World Series of Poker Events (WSOP) on June 9, June 20 and in the Main Event on July 8.
What follows is a two-car assault on the world's largest car rally, the Great American Run, from July 29-Aug 2. After crossing the United States he is on to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro from August 14-30, and later to the Mt. Everest Base Camp Oct 6-30.
