Turning the Tables on Courtroom Drama
Celebrity attorney Vicki Roberts finds her mark in Hollywood.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 6, 2007 -- Most people in Los Angeles recognize celebrity attorney Vicki Roberts for her winning legal career, her celebrity client roster and her philanthropic endeavors. For many years legendary actors including Oscar nominee Gary Busey, Armand Assante and David Carradine have all relied on her legal expertise. Michael Madsen, also a devoted client of Roberts, relied on Vicki's talents in a rather different way last year when he confided in producer, Daniel A. Sherkow, about casting her in his new independent mockumentary feature film "Being Michael Madsen" due out in 2007.
Vicki Roberts is no stranger to the elite Hollywood scene. She has graced many a red carpet donning designer dresses and acclaimed jewelry by Chopard, including the 78th Annual Academy Awards, the famed Golden Globe Awards and elite events including the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Directors Guild Awards and Larry King's 20th Anniversary with CNN.
Nationally renowned, Vicki Roberts has been seen frequently on the syndicated television show, Celebrity Justice, and has also appeared on Extra, MSNBC's "The Abrams Report" and VH1's legal music show, "Rock and a Hard Place". She has been quoted on the television show Inside Edition, MSNBC's "Scarborough Country" and in newspapers and publications worldwide. Not only is she an actress, Roberts is a leading attorney contributor to the newly released book introduced by Larry King, "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt", which is in bookstores nationwide and available on Amazon.com.
Wanting more than just courtroom drama, Vicki Roberts began researching film and television projects several years ago. Since she has access to some of the hottest scripts circulating tinsel town, she opted to be the executive producer and co-producer of the film, "Passengers", which was featured in the Montreal Film Festival and was included in the September 2004 exhibition at the Queen Sofia Museum in Madrid, Spain. "Passengers" was also submitted to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Academy Award consideration in 2004. Her second endeavor was signing on as Executive Producer and featured guest star for the full length documentary about the only known deaf-blind triplets in the world, "Through Your Eyes", which is scheduled for release in 2007. "Through Your Eyes" has already been the subject of a one-hour Dr. Phil Show.
"I am enjoying the transition from making my mark in the legal world to finding my mark on the set!" said Vicki Roberts, celebrity attorney turned actress. "The critically acclaimed film 'Being Michael Madsen' enabled me to play an attorney and also to actually consult on and write my dialog consistent with my experience as a litigator. After shooting 'Being Michael Madsen' and 'Through Your Eyes', I decided I needed to obtain professional representation, so I contacted my long-time friend, Heather J. Taylor, President of Alliance Worldwide Communications, Inc., and hired her as my Manager. Since then, I've had three more scripts sent to me offering a variety of characters. I'm looking forward to breaking away from playing an attorney to performing as a sexy housewife in my next project!"
It has often been said that great attorneys deserve 'best actor nods' in the courtroom. Now, Vicki Roberts is turning the tables on the legal scene and making her case on the Hollywood set. One thing is for certain, Vicki has certainly found her mark.
