ForSyte Media Launches RaceDayz.com
New Auto Racing Calendar Web Site Combines Season Schedules for NASCAR, Formula 1, Champ Car, and Indy Car.
Hoffman Estates, IL (PRWEB) June 10, 2007 -- ForSyte Media has just launched RaceDayz.com, a new auto racing calendar web site that combines season race schedules for NASCAR, Formula 1, Champ Car, and Indy Car.
"We're extremely happy with how quickly the idea came to life," said Joe Rockey, CEO and owner of ForSyte Media. "Our goal was to keep the calendar site simple, eye-catching, and easy to use. It's about giving race fans a quick, convenient way to find race day information without having to visit three or four different web sites."
The idea for RaceDayz.com came to Rockey after missing several televised Formula 1 races earlier this season. "I was annoyed that I didn't have an easy way to keep up on all my racing information at once. I realized what I needed was a site that combined all of it for me... race events, dates, and television times." Soon after, RaceDayz.com was born.
What started out as web site for Rockey's personal use quickly grew into a business venture with potential. "We realized right away that an aggregated calendar could provide more than just race dates and times. Now we're linking visitors to ticket information, travel accomodations, merchandise, and more. We also have a news feed displaying the latest racing headlines." Rockey has signed on as an affiliate with leading ticket broker TicketsNow.com, travel site LastMinuteTravel.com, and Formula 1 tour package site FormulaTours.com.
Since launching just over a month ago, RaceDayz.com has seen a steady increase in traffic, with about half of all unique visitors bookmarking the site. "These are serious race fans that immediately see the convenience RaceDayz.com provides. Feedback so far has been very positive. We keep hearing how we've made their 'racing lives' a bit easier. It's a good feeling to know that."
Rockey is optimistic about where he thinks RaceDayz.com can go from here. "We've got several cool ideas we're looking at. Email and mobile alerts, contests, stuff like that. Several visitors have asked us why we don't have World Rally up yet. We'll see what happens. Right now, our main focus is getting the word out and encouraging more people to pay us a visit. We're also actively pursuing interested advertisers and partnerships."
You can visit the site here at http://www.RaceDayz.com. There is no registration or sign-up required to browse.
