The Velvet Hearts Release Their Fantastic Debut EP in UK

New UK Indie-Rock 6-piece, The Velvet Hearts, hotly tipped to be one of the top bands to emerge in 2007.

Bournemouth UK (PRWEB) June 15, 2007 -- The Centre Stage venue was chosen by the fantastic new Indie-Rock band The Velvet Hearts to release their new 5-track EP called Into the World.

Fans of The Velvet Hearts travelled from London, Maidenhead, Birmingham, Henley and Bristol to see the 6-piece band release of the first set of recordings since they formed earlier in the year. Although their loyal fan base has quickly grown from just a handful to many hundreds through releases of clips on www.myspace.com/thevelvethearts this is the first time they have been able to download or purchase a CD, containing of some of their best original material to date. The EP contains title track Into the World, as well as Seratonim, History is Repeating, Heart is Breaking and So Lonely.

Independent music critic and spokesperson for Snorting Pig Promotions, David Shimell said "I have heard many new Indie and Rock bands over the years and this is one of the most talented and energetic. Their mature song-writing style combined with excellent lyrics and an extremely tight live performances has in just 6 months turned them from an unknown Berkshire pub-band to a professional group worthy of supporting a big act on a nationwide tour." He added, "It is only a matter of time before the Velvet Hearts are signed up for a full recording contract; they already have plenty of quality album material and although it is difficult to liken their music to any other band, I have picked up just hints of The Fray, Maroon Five, Travis, David Gray, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Feeder, Skynyrd and Elvis Costello in their unique and original music. Their entire set is packed with energetic rock songs and quality ballads with the audience is left wanting more at the end."
