Their mature song-writing style combined with excellent lyrics and an extremely tight live performances has in just 6 months turned them from an unknown Berkshire pub-band to a professional group worthy of supporting a big act on a nationwide tour." He added, "It is only a matter of time before the Velvet Hearts are signed up for a full recording contract; they already have plenty of quality album material and although it is difficult to liken their music to any other band, I have picked up just hints of The Fray, Maroon Five, Travis, David Gray, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Feeder, Skynyrd and Elvis Costello in their unique and original music. Their entire set is packed with energetic rock songs and quality ballads with the audience is left wanting more at the end."
