The National Parenting Center Awards Their Seal of Approval 2007 to Mic-O-Mic Americas' Brainteaser LONPOS 303 Pyramid and Rectangle Game

Mic-O-Mic Americas Inc. has received The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval Spring '07 for their LONPOS 303 Pyramid and Rectangle Game with its possible 363,566 challenges (of which 303 are preset) to solve in a pocket/purse-sized box. This now makes a total of 15 awards granted for this amazing, educational and fun game which is recommended for ages 8 to adults, although younger children also enjoy it with adult participation or supervision.
Playing the game requires concentration, math skills, cognitive thinking and social skills. Our testers seemed to enjoy the game's simplicity and ease of handling. They interacted well and worked as a team when solving each level of problems.

Savannah, GA (PRWEB) June 19, 2007 -- Mic-O-Mic Americas will exhibit their award-winning LONPOS 303 Pyramid and Rectangle Game and their other specialty toys and games at the ASTRA Marketplace in Las Vegas June 24 - 27, 2007 (BOOTH 510).

The National Parenting Center says: "According to our testers LOPOS is one of the most addictive games their children have ever played with. Mixing a bit of brain twister to logic and spatial relationship games, LONPOS really wowed those who played with it. No matter how proficient you are or become there are levels to the game that will challenge you just enough to pull you along to the next level. The fact that it is not gender specific was very appealing not to mention the fact that it is small and compact, fitting in its own case, making it perfect for travel."

Other awards to Mic-O-Mic Americas Inc. for this game include:

Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Gold Seal 2007: "Wow! This is a quiet toy with a huge appeal... It's the type of toy where our testers said 'just one more minute. I almost have it.' "

Parents' Choice Foundation Gold Award 2006: "This seemingly simple game develops abstract thinking and problem-solving skills as well as three-dimensional thinking. It also exercises visual-spatial skills and fine-motor control. The game can be played alone or with others."

TOY TIPS TRUSTED Mark of Excellence 2007: "Playing the game requires concentration, math skills, cognitive thinking and social skills. Our testers seemed to enjoy the game's simplicity and ease of handling. They interacted well and worked as a team when solving each level of problems."

The Toy Man Seal of Approval, Mark of Excellence and Editor's Choice Awards 2007: "When you first glance at this game/puzzle, you assume the LonPos 303 Pyramid and Rectangle Game is a simple, inexpensive travel toy, but don't be fooled! There is much more to this product than appears at first glance. Like many other products that people overlook and someone else picks up and gets the benefit from it, this is without question just that type of game. Whether in school or at home, this is a great way for a child to develop strategy skills, eye-hand coordination and greater motor skills, applicable for use in multiple environments, including schools, libraries and home. For resellers you have a product that is tried and proven. It has potential for very strong sales in some of the largest retail chains."

Dr. Toy 100 Best Children's Products and 10 Best Games Awards 2006 and Best Products Winner 2007: "It helps develop brainpower, IQ, concentration, math skills, cognitive skills and interpersonal skills (it can be more fun by interaction of friends, family or other adults)."

Major Fun Award 2007 (Thinking Games) (Bernie deKoven, funsmith): "I must say that I was experiencing something akin to sensual delight as I built the puzzle -- each piece fitting snugly onto the board or onto other pieces. And as I solved each puzzle, I felt I was being taught, carefully, playfully, invitingly, a bit more about the pentomatically puzzling properties of pyramid building. And it really wasn't too difficult. I mean it could get difficult."

iParenting Media Award Winner 2007: "Mentally challenging, educational, fun and a great travel game for children and adults alike. Particularly suitable for people with certain disabilities as set out in National Lekotek Center's AblePlay™ review."

Mr. Dad Seal of Approval 2006: "If you're a Tetris player, you'll understand why we chose this game. It's challenging, fun, and completely addictive. Our tester's seven year old son embarrassed his parents by beating them several times. Even so, we like this puzzle game for the entertaining way it exercises the gray matter, helps with math and creative thinking skills, and keeps the family playing together."

National Lekotek Center AblePlay Ratings for play products for children with special needs 2007 (Two stars for Physical Disabilities and three stars each for Sensory, Communicative and Cognitive Disabilities): "The puzzle is compact yet offers hours of play opportunity." The ratings mean that it is adequate for children with certain physical disabilities, but is good for children with Hearing or Visual Impairment, Sensory Integration Disorder (SID), PDD, Speech or language delay, Stuttering, Down syndrome, Mental Retardation, FAS, Hydrocephalus, ADD/ADHD, and learning disabilities.

Creative Child Magazine's Top Toy of the Year Award 2006 (Children's Brainteaser Games).

The earlier, and still available, LONPOS 101 Pyramid and Rectangle Game (with 101 preset challenges) also won many awards for Mic-O-Mic Americas.

About Mic-O-Mic Americas Inc.
The company was formed in 2004 to introduce to North America and distribute the patented Mic-O-Mic range of construction toys from Germany. These have minimal instructions for assembly - just a few pictures to guide you. The whole point of this is to stretch children's and adults' brains to work out how to assemble these toys.
Very different from any other construction toys you will have seen, the assembly method uses a patented system of plugs and flexible clips. Brightly colored and extremely sturdy, these are treasured by collectors all over the world.

Most of these toys have won awards from toy and game experts.

In the Fall of 2005 they introduced a hugely successful brainteaser game from Taiwan called LONPOS 101. They had to redesign the packaging and instruction manual to eliminate confusing information and grammatical errors, and to make it attractive to adult buyers as well as children. They renamed the game LONPOS 101 Pyramid and Rectangle Game and submitted it to the toy and game experts for their consideration.

Our version has won Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal, Parents' Choice Foundation's Gold Award, National Parenting Publications Gold Award, Toy Tips Seal of Excellence "A" Rating, Dr. Toy Best Vacation Children's Product and 100 Best Children's Product and 10 Best Games Awards, Creative Child Magazine's Preferred Choice Award, Family Review Center Seal of Excellence and Top Product Awards, Parent to Parent Magazine Adding Wisdom Award and Best Toy for Special Needs Award, and National Lekotek Center's AblePlay™ Ratings for children with special needs.

Because of the success of LONPOS 101 and requests for more preset games from their resellers and from consumers, the company introduced the LONPOS 303 Pyramid and Rectangle Game in mid-October 2006. This has the original 101 preset challenges and a further 202 in a separate booklet.

At ASTRA Marketplace 2007 they will introduce two more games from LONPOS: LONPOS 4D Pyramid Game and LONPOS 84T Ultimate Pyramid Game.
