New York, NY (PRWEB) June 21, 2007 -- The novel From the Depths of Despair: Love: How Ted Forsook White Supremacy to Marry his Princess, written by author CA Joseph, portrays the transformation of a future charismatic White Supremacist leader, who falls in love with an African American woman.
Set in Southern Mississippi, the book narrates in both African American and Caucasian voices a tale of a deeply prejudiced third generation Klansman who suddenly develops an aversion for racial intolerance, after realizing the folly of his thinking.
The novel takes the reader on a journey through the extremely negative circumstances surrounding the transformation of Ted, who was a member of the Ku Klux Klan as well as a paramilitary White Supremacist sect dedicated to a future war against minorities. All it took was one hunting trip, in which he spotted a beautiful but mysterious Afro American woman through the scope of his hunting gun. As a result, Ted immediately slips into utter despair.
"Humans are remarkable, because we have an inherent ability to conquer negativity," he says, echoing the theme of the novel.
Although fiction, it is a representation of an actual issue still plaguing both the developed and developing world, that of ethnic strife. He states that the novel is "a deliberate attempt at exposing the pointlessness of centuries-old intolerance."
"It is factual to say that the majority of racial hatred present in the world has been learnt, passed on from generation to generation. Bigotry, though passively accepted, is not an innate human trait," says CA Joseph (www.authorcajoseph.com).
In the story, the author offers a particularly graphic look into the effects of an internal emotional war that forces readers to internalize their own misconceptions about others. "The book is meant not only to inspire readers, but to ignite the feelings of empathy that so many people are lacking," he adds.
The story also gives some insight into the existence of secretive Neo-Nazi sects operating under the radar, and is the first release in a trilogy of non-conventional literary fiction.
The 294 page book is available and can be previewed at www.authorcajoseph.com, in both E-book($7.95) and paperback formats, and is currently self-published at www.lulu.com, where you can also preview and purchase a copy (paperback or e-book) directly at http://www.lulu.com/content/593700.
