Cosmic Creates Howling Great Design

When it comes to raising money for animal welfare, this organization knows the power of graphic design is the cat's meow.

St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) July 7, 2007 -- Graphic design firm Cosmic International has announced the completion of design work for Wine for Whiskers, an annual wine tasting event held to raise funds and awareness for the SPCA of Central Florida.

Each aspect of the design was donated to the SPCA of Central Florida and includes the design of invitations, posters, promotional business cards and tickets. The graphics feature a whimsical illustration within a renaissance theme that is carried throughout the work. The illustration was hand drawn by Cosmic's president and graphic designer David Scott.

"This project was presented to me with the renaissance theme already in mind," said Scott. "So, I decided to add my own twist to it through a bold use of color consistent with that time period and an eye-catching illustration of a dog and cat that draws the viewer into the information presented. I'm really pleased with the results and find that it reflects the elegance of the event very well while maintaining that important element of fun."

Founded in 1937, the SPCA of Central Florida is Central Florida's largest and best known animal welfare agency. Every year the SPCA of Central Florida hosts a number of special events to raise money for the care of homeless pets. Events such as Wine for Whiskers are designed to bring people together for fun, relaxation and a good time.

"David has been nothing but a pleasure in coordinating every aspect of our graphics for our Wine for Whiskers event," said Robin Longley, Manager of Development and Special Events with the SPCA of Central Florida. "By creating visually pleasing posters, invitations, tickets and promotional business cards, we were able to show the public exactly our message for the evening and our desire to have a fun loving event to help raise funds for our two shelters in Seminole and Orange County."

The design firm allocates a budget each year for pro bono design projects that benefit and promote the marketing efforts of organizations committed to fostering public and environmental well-being. Cosmic's work will be showcased at this year's Wine for Whiskers event held on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Marriott hotel in downtown Orlando.
