MCCSN Will Host 1st Multicultural FAM Tour, San Diego, CA, September 13-16
Meeting planners from the nation's largest ethnically diverse organizations committed to seek out America's finest city for future conferences.
San Diego, CA. (PRWEB) July 7, 2007 -- The Multi-Cultural Convention Services Network (MCCSN) will welcome meeting planners from some of the nation's largest ethnically diverse professional and social organizations to San Diego as part of its first Multicultural Familiarization (FAM) Tour, September 13-16, 2007.
"We are excited to be hosting San Diego's first Multicultural FAM Tour," said Clara Carter, MCCSN President and CEO. "It's a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase San Diego's rich cultural heritage to diverse planners and to highlight the exemplary quality of our meetings and conventions facilities."
The tour is designed to introduce meeting planners to one of San Diego's hidden treasures, Mission Valley, a bustling center teeming with restaurants, hotels, and shopping centers as well as, the newly renovated 41,000 sq. ft. Grand Exhibit Hall, located at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center. Mission Valley also offers recreational opportunities such as golf, tennis, spas and nature trails.
Throughout the weekend, planners will have an opportunity to experience the beauty and splendor of America's Finest City. Planned activities include, a guided and private trolley ride from scenic Mission Valley to downtown San Diego, a tour of the magnificent and historical Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcalá (California's first mission), a special traditional Mexican lunch accompanied by lively Mariachi dancers, a five-course dinner cruise along the San Diego Harbor and special VIP treatment at the Town and Country Resort.
The MCCSN FAM Tour will host meeting planning executives from over 20 ethnically diverse organizations including, the National Bar Association, the NAACP, the National Hispanic Meeting Planners and the National Society of Hispanic MBA. The MCCSN FAM Tour is made possible through the partnership and sponsorship of Mission Valley Tourism Council, the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, San Diego Convention Center Corporation, San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, Southwest Airlines, Cloud 9 Shuttle, Black Meetings and Tourism Magazine, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, City Council Member Anthony Young and City Council Member Luis Natividad, along with many others.
